Brickfish

Do you have a brickfish account? I opened one up a little over a year ago when I was searching for scholarships. I found out that Brickfish is a great place where you create, make, and design things to win money. There are many different campaigns going on at a time, and you choose the ones you prefer to enter. You do what the campaign is asking for, get people to vote, and you could win awesome prizes, or cold hard cash. Right now, I have a few entries in a campagin to design a Gas Card for brickfish. Check them out: http://www.brickfish.com/Pages/PhotosAlbums/PhotoView.aspx?picid=607938_94246959&pid=130328&scid=314

PLEASE VOTE!

Parents leaving their kids in hot cars to die is neglect

I have been hearing about these cases for a while now, and it's really getting under my skin. Parents who leave their children in hot cars all day, and they aren't being charged with a crime! I have done much research, and found that there have been some parents charged, but some are not.

There have been a couple of these cases happen in my neighboring state, Ohio, and the parents have not been charged at all. I just cannot see how this is happening! I really do not see how someone could forget about their child being in the car with them, and going to work, leaving the child to die in a hot car.

Then, the DA is saying that they cannot charge these people because it's not defined as neglect under the law. TIME TO CHANGE THE LAW!!! HELLO!!! I mean, come on, this is giving parents who do want to 'get rid of' or kill their children, an idea. They see that these people 'accidently' doing it and not getting charged. What kind of message are we sending here!!!

A Juice Pouch and Box fun lens

Like we have all heard, "one man's trash is another's treasure." You can take so many things and make great products, crafts, and cool stuff out of them instead of throwing them away. I thought about this about a year ago when I saw a vendor at a festival selling purses made out of juice pouches. So, I did a little research and there is so much more you can make from these. I have found many ways to recycle and reuse common items that most people throw away. I am making a series of lenses including these ideas, but in the meantime, enjoy these cool juice pouch and box ideas! http://www.squidoo.com/juicepouches

Some of my other ideas for these great recycling crafty lenses include lids, jars, magazines, candy wrappers.....etc.. You'll have to check out the lenses to learn more!!

How odd

It's funny when you know someone that you cannot trust, but you love them anyway. It's weird when they treat you as though you cannot be trusted when you have never once lied to them. Life is odd. I have really been trying to learn how to make changes in the way I think. I want to become a better person in God's eyes and make changes for the better. How do you help a friend to do the same when they are so different and it doesn't seem as though they care to change? I know that we cannot make people change, but we can help them if they do decide to change, right? It seems so hard to make changes in your own life, but one thing I have heard is to keep away from negative people and don't let their attitudes rub off on you.
I will tell you something though. One person who has helped me make changes and still is, is Joyce Meyer. She has some awesome books about anything and everything. She doesn't preach about God all the time like people who have never seen her may think, but she ties the Word and all these great ideas, thoughts, verses, etc. into daily life. I am really making some progress through reading her books. I hope to help some other people make changes as well. For them, not me!
